BORDEAUX, FRANCE

3 days here in Bordeaux. 2 runs along the river direction north away from the Cruise ship pier-6kms and 10kms out and back. Then a 16km run over to the opposite side of the river (right bank), where there is a great cycle path in a southerly direction. Warm weather for this time of year.

GIJON, SPAIN

3 days here in Gijon, Spain-great jogging route from the port through the tunnel at Abono past an area of heavy industry which contrasts with the rolling green fields-interesting scenery, to say the least. 14km and 9km out and back.

OPORTO, PORTUGAL

2 days here in Oporto-2 great runs along the beach promenade north from the port at Leixoes. 10km and 11km out and back, great scenery and weather.

LISBON, PORTUGAL

Three days in Lisbon. Great city, three great runs, all from the port at Santa Apolonia along the waterfront direction Beato- 5kms, 10kms, 9kms. Able to stay off the sidewalk mosaic stones on this route, so more comfortable underfoot.

PONTA DELGADA, AZORES

Two days here in Ponta Delgada, Azores. Nice run from the port in direction airport on what becomes a great coastal road-2 Rua de Santa Clara-nice and quiet and scenic-9kms out and back.

HORTA, AZORES

Three days here in Horta, Azores, after a bit of a bumpy ride from New York. Great 10km out and back direction airport from the port. Next day a wet 5km same route. Nice island.
