REUNION

Great little corner of France in the Indian Ocean. Docked 2 days at La Possession. 2 great runs-12kms direction Saint Denis and 7kms on a great sea promenade in the other direction-very hot and humid.

DURBAN, SOUTH AFRICA

Great time here in Durban-3 great runs from the port to the beachfront and along the promenade to the Suncoast Casino-9kms, 7kms and 5kms-great weather, and scenery. Now on to Reunion, Mauritius and Australia.

CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA

Great time here in CT over the season-arrived 23 Dec and left on 2 Jan. Great runs around the Mouille Point/Three Anchor Bay/Sea Point area and a great run in the Tokai Manor House Run on 26 Dec. A bit hilly, but a nice race-16kms. On to Mossel Bay and a nice run there on the road to George.

WALVIS BAY, NAMIBIA

Great runs here out into the desert on the airport road-10kms out and back. Also a nice cycle along the same road-20kms out and back. Strong headwind on the way back to the port, though. Also a nice 6km run in Luderitz on the road out of town direction Aus. Great scenery.

MADAGASCAR

Returned to sea beginning October, only to pick up a nasty calf strain-out of action for a while. Back in the saddle now and some nice runs in Seychelles, then Toamasina, Madagascar, and some beaches along the way-not too many roads for jogging-more trails. Hot and humid, so cool off on the beach.
