VALPARAISO, CHILE

After a stay in Bahia de Concepcion, Chile, where I had a great run out and back 10km from the port at Lirquen on a great road through the forest, we arrived in Valparaiso, Chile. Great jog along the sea front from the ocean terminal to Playa Caleta Abarca-10kms. Very nice facility, great scenery, nice town.

PUERTO MONTT, CHILE

Leaving Ushuaia, where I had 2 great runs to the airport of 10kms out and back, we spent 5 days in the Chilean Fjords. Then on to Chacabuco, Chile, where I had a great 10 km out towards Puerto Aisen. Great scenery, although wet and cold. Then 3 days in Puerto Montt, Chile and 3 great runs from the port along the bay of 12kms, 8kms and 14kms. Great scenery-nice town, (photo).

ANTARCTICA

3 weeks down in South Georgia and Antarctica. No jogging, except on treadmill. Live outdoor concert with the Fabulous Fossils near Port Lockroy, Antarctica. Great fun, now back to Ushuaia and then on to Chile.

ANTARCTICA

Leaving Ushuaia, we crossed the Drake Passage to the Antarctic Peninsula, where we have spent the last week of 2011. No jogging possible, only treadmill running. Next stop, back to Ushuaia.

USHUAIA, ARGENTINA

Arrived here on route to Antarctica. Had 2 great jogs, left and right from the port, 8kms out and back each. Nice town, a little windy but great to jog on terra firma after 4 days at sea.
