NASSAU, BAHAMAS

Leaving New York after only one day there, we sailed south to avoid another storm arriving. Three days at sea to Nassau, Bahamas and a three day stay there. Two nice 10km runs out from the port in the direction of Cable Beach-nice warm weather, lots of traffic. One 6km out to Atlantis on Paradise Island. Four cruise ships there with us each day, so quite busy in town and on the road.

NEW YORK

After taking a trip from Bermuda to Halifax to avoid Hurricane Sandy, we went into a holding pattern in Boston until things returned to normal in New York, and then spent one day there. A little chilly, but clear skies and a great 10km down the cycle path from Pier 88 on 46th St. in the direction Battery Park, turnaround at the World Trade Center site. Next stop, Bahamas.

HAMILTON, BERMUDA

Three days here in Hamilton, Bermuda. Nice jogs along the Bermuda Railway Trail, site of the old railway line which ran along the length of the island. Great mostly dirt trail, no traffic except where the trail crosses roads on occasion. Nice weather, about 25degs C. Beautiful island, great people.

BOSTON, USA

Arrived Boston-only one day before we sailed-time for a 10km around town. Out and back from the cruise terminal along Summer St. into town and then along Atlantic Ave-turn around on the North Washington St. bridge. Nice weather, nice run, great city. Next stop, Bermuda.

CAPE TOWN, SOUTH AFRICA

Great vacation here at home in Cape Town. Five races; Cellar2Cellar 20km Trail Run at Blaauwklippen, Sunflower FunRun in Mouille Point, Cape Town Marathon, Classic 21,1km, and the Gun Run 21,1km. Great fun, well organised races. Now back to work-Boston, USA.
